On Saturday, the Chief of Defence Staff of Rwanda, Gen. Mubarakh Muganga, delivered a special lecture to officers at the Senior Command and Staff College in Kimaka, Uganda.
The lecture focused on the need for African nations to find homegrown solutions to their security and development challenges. A key emphasis was placed on Rwanda’s participation in international peacekeeping missions through bilateral and multilateral agreements.
Gen. Muganga highlighted Rwanda’s contribution to regional peace, especially through missions in Mozambique and the Central African Republic, where Rwandan troops have been deployed under cooperation agreements.
He stressed that African countries should address their security challenges by leveraging opportunities to sign mutually beneficial agreements, whether between two states or through broader coalitions.
