Health researchers have found that certain foods and drinks can weaken the body during sexual activity, mainly by causing excessive weight gain, reducing energy, and disrupting hormones responsible for sexual desire.
This leads many men and women to suffer from fatigue or lack of libido.
Here are the foods you should avoid or be cautious with in your daily diet:
1. Fanta and Sugary Soft Drinks
While Fanta and sugary beverages may seem mood-lifting, experts say they weaken the brain and heart when consumed frequently. High sugar spikes blood glucose levels, causing fatigue and sluggishness during sex.
Advice: Instead of regularly drinking Fanta, prioritize water or light meals rich in natural energy.
2. French Fries
French fries taste great, but they are high in fat and negatively affect sexual performance by lowering sperm quality in men. Fried foods also increase the risk of heart disease.
Advice: Choose roasted or boiled sweet potatoes. They help prevent obesity and maintain healthy blood sugar levels.
3. Mixing Alcohol with Sugary Beverages
Excessively drinking alcohol or sugary drinks—especially when mixed—can lower sex drive and disrupt the hormones vital to sexual health.
Advice: Limit quantities and avoid combining too many types of drinks at once.
4. Pasta
Most pasta contains a lot of carbohydrates and digests slowly. Eating it in excess leads to weight gain and weakens both the brain and body, especially during sex.
Advice: Eat pasta with tomato sauce and salad. Avoid eating plain pasta all the time.
5. Biscuits
Biscuits are loaded with fats and sugars that lead to weight gain and reduce physical comfort during sex, mainly by affecting breathing and blood circulation.
Advice: If you can’t quit biscuits completely, pair them with nutrient-rich foods like peanut butter or an omelet sandwich.
Other foods that contribute to weight gain and potentially reduce sexual performance include: eggs consumed too often, fatty chicken meat, avocado, and oily fish like makayabu (salted fish), especially when eaten frequently.
