CAF Adjusts Schedule for APR FC and Rayon Sports Matches

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the first-leg matches of the preliminary round for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup will be held between September 19 and 21, 2025.

The return legs will follow shortly after, scheduled between September 26 and 28, 2025.

This adjustment in schedule has been made to accommodate the upcoming CHAN (African Nations Championship) tournament.

In Rwanda, APR FC will represent the country in the CAF Champions League, while Rayon Sports FC will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup. Both teams will do their utmost to reach the group stage of these prestigious competitions.

Twelve African countries are allowed to enter four clubs each in these tournaments. These include Algeria, Angola, Libya, Morocco, South Africa, Sudan, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Tunisia, Egypt, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Tanzania.

This is a critical moment for Rwandan football clubs, but their journey will require strength and strategy. Will APR and Rayon Sports rise to the challenge and go far in these top-level competitions? The matches in September will reveal the answer.
