APR FC have claimed the 2024/2025 Rwanda Premier League title, after a narrow 1-0 victory over Muhazi United.
Muhazi United hosted the Army side at the Ngoma Stadium on Matchday 29 of the league.
The decisive goal came in the 35th minute, scored by Burkinabé striker Cheikh Djibril Ouattara, who slotted it in from a pass by Ruboneka Jean Bosco. That lone goal was enough for APR FC to secure three crucial points in Kibungo.
These points earned APR FC their 23rd league title in history, and their sixth consecutive championship.
They secured the title after their closest rivals Rayon Sports were held to a goalless draw (0-0) by Vision FC, failing to keep the title race alive.
APR FC are set to host Musanze FC on the final matchday. They currently lead with 64 points, four ahead of second-placed Rayon Sports, who still have to face Gorilla FC.
