Tragedy at Bayern Munich Youth Camp: Afghan Coach Ashgar Passes Away in Germany

An Afghan-born coach named Ashgar tragically passed away during a youth training camp organized by Bayern Munich in the city of Riesa, Saxony, Germany.

According to German media, Ashgar collapsed during a lunch break at Feralpi Arena. Although emergency services responded quickly, he died upon arrival at the hospital.

The camp had brought together 119 boys and girls from Riesa and surrounding areas who were expecting to be trained by coaches from the Bundesliga giants.

In an official statement, Bayern Munich expressed deep sorrow:

“We are heartbroken and in deep mourning. Words cannot describe this. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Coach Ashgar.”

His club in Austria, TSV Hartberg, where he coached the under-13 team, paid tribute to him on social media, describing him as a beloved figure among players, parents, and staff due to his warmth and professionalism.

Bayern Munich terminated the camp prematurely and has since organized psychological support for the children, parents, and all coaches present at the time of the tragedy.
